We are over the moon to announce that we’ve been shortlisted for ‘Best Pub in Cornwall’ in the ‘National Pub & Bar Awards’. The winner could be crowned ‘Best in Region’ or even ‘Best UK Pub’. Wish us luck!
The ‘Pub & Bar Awards’ have selected 254 pubs from across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland and will present 94 County winners. From those winners, one will be awarded ‘Best UK Pub’.
The Pickwick won the prestigious ‘Best Pub in Cornwall’ award back in 2019 just before Covid struck and had such a devastating impact on the industry.
With 50 pubs a month currently closing their doors across the UK due to crippling costs and an ever-challenging market; awards like this offer a chance to celebrate the importance of the British pub!
We will be heading up to a glitzy ceremony in London in June, fingers crossed we can bring it home for Cornwall, the region and even bag the ‘Best UK Pub’ prize!
